Fiona qualified in 2009 into one of the largest private client teams on the south coast. She joined Godwins in 2013 and she now specialises in Wills, probate, trusts, tax planning, powers of attorney and the affairs of the elderly. She particularly enjoys finding innovative solutions to matters and has recently advised families on tax planning and subsequent applications to the Court of Protection.
She has a sensitive and responsive approach to matters that can create emotional concerns for her clients. Fiona has a particular interest in tax planning and lifetime arrangements and has advised a variety of clients about succession planning in family businesses.
Fiona is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioner), a member of Solicitors for the Elderly, a member of Winchester Young Professionals and the Law Society Private Client Section.
Outside of the office, Fiona has a busy life with her young family and plays a big part in organising the Squash at Winchester Racquets and Fitness Club.

Fiona is an accredited member of Solicitors For The Elderly, an independent group that provides specialist legal advice for older and vulnerable people, their carers and families.
Fiona is also a full member of STEP, a worldwide professional association for those advising families across generations. They help people understand the issues families face in this area and promote best practice, professional integrity and education to their members.
